About the Operations The Projects and Technology Department is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing Region Västernorrland's construction, installation, and real estate projects, as well as providing technical expertise to ensure sustainable, functional, and operationally adapted facilities within the region's property portfolio. We are now seeking a project manager with experience leading larger projects with multiple stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, and clear requirements for management, budgeting, and quality. As a project manager, you have a key role in ensuring that larger projects are executed according to established goals for budget, schedule, quality, work environment, and operational benefit. You lead projects from early stages and feasibility studies through implementation, handover, and follow-up. This position is a permanent, full-time employment with a start date as soon as possible according to agreement. Responsibilities Lead larger construction, installation, and real estate projects through all project phases within the region Manage project control of budget, schedule, quality, risks, and work environment Work structurally with decision-making documents, estimates, schedules, risk management, and project documentation to create control and predictability in projects Coordinate operations, internal resources, consultants, contractors, and government contacts Participate in procurement processes, contracting strategies, and contract follow-up Monitor project progress and report to clients, steering committees, and management Ensure compliance with laws, government requirements, and the region's governing documents Responsible for handover, lessons learned, and follow-up after completed projects Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has relevant post-secondary education in construction, technology, installation, real estate, or other education or experience that the employer considers equivalent Has at least 3-5 years of experience in project management within construction, installation, or real estate Has experience independently leading larger projects with responsibility for budget, schedule, quality, and coordination of multiple parties Has experience in project management, contractor execution, and structured follow-up Has experience communicating with clients, operations, consultants, contractors, and steering committees Has experience and practice documenting decisions, orders, coordination, and follow-up Has strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Has a valid driver's license (Category B) It is an advantage if you: Have technical expertise or experience in HVAC, electrical, or construction Have experience managing projects within public sector operations Have experience with construction law and standard contracts such as AB 04 and ABT 06 Have experience with healthcare, hospital, or other public facilities Have experience from property management, operations organization, or public sector Have knowledge of public procurement (LOU) and framework agreements To succeed in this role, we believe you have these personal qualities: Stable Empathetic Structured Holistic perspective About Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, Region Västernorrland is responsible for several of the most important services for residents' ability to participate in society.
