The Project Unit is responsible for project management in the community planning area of Motala municipality. The unit ensures that projects are completed within the decided framework for budget, time and quality. Do you want to lead projects that make a real difference for residents and society? We are now looking for an experienced project manager responsible for investment projects. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a project manager, you are responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the municipality's construction projects from the early stages to the finished building. The projects include, among other things, new construction and renovation of sports and leisure facilities, schools, care homes and other municipal facilities. A significant part of the assignment over the coming years will be linked to the design and implementation of the municipality's swimming hall project, which is one of the municipality's major investments. You represent the municipality in the role of client and are responsible for managing and following up external consultants who carry out all or part of the operational project management, design and implementation. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the municipality's operations, contractors and internal support functions. The assignment includes leading and coordinating construction projects throughout the process, from preliminary studies and design to production and handover. You are responsible for time, economy, quality and working environment, as well as ensuring that procurement of consultants and contractors is carried out in accordance with the Public Procurement Act. A central part of the role is to manage, coordinate and monitor consultants who are responsible for all or part of the operational project management. The role also involves monitoring agreements, managing changes and risks, and ensuring that projects are carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, the municipality's project model and political decisions. You report regularly to steering groups and relevant decision-makers. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you: • who has relevant higher education in construction, engineering or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent • You also have experience in project management in construction projects • You have good knowledge of the construction process and contract law, such as AB, ABT, ABK • have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish • It is meritorious if you have experience working in a municipality or other public organization, knowledge of the Public Procurement Act and experience with facility investments To thrive and succeed in the role: • you are confident in your leadership role and experienced in coordinating many stakeholders • you work in a structured and independent manner • you are solution-oriented and take responsibility • you have good cooperation skills and professional conduct.
