Your new workplace Drakfastigheter is Sundsvall Municipality's property management company. We ensure that the municipality's facilities offer a pleasant environment for those who work in them by shaping and developing our properties in close collaboration with the municipal operations that rent them. All to ensure that Sundsvall Municipality conducts its operations in efficient, fit-for-purpose, and climate-smart facilities. Drakfastigheter is currently a division within the Municipal Executive Office with approximately 230 employees. In addition to property management, cleaning, laundry handling, and ongoing maintenance, we are responsible for new construction, renovations, and extensions of municipal facilities. Together with municipal administrations, we work to provide Sundsvall residents with facilities and environments where they can thrive and develop. We're seeking an engaged project manager who wants to contribute to Sundsvall's development. How you'll contribute in this role As a project manager, you will independently lead projects with a focus on quality, operational continuity, and development of robust properties that can maintain their function even during societal disruptions and crises. During the first years, your work will primarily be linked to sub-projects within the overarching development program Robust Properties. The role combines traditional project management with specialization in civil preparedness, security, and robustness in the property portfolio. The work is to some degree more strategic and analytical, where you are responsible for investigating needs, preparing decision-making materials, commissioning consultant assignments, and coordinating various stakeholders to translate requirements and goals into concrete measures. Your responsibilities Lead and drive projects from planning through implementation and handover, ensuring they comply with laws and regulatory requirements. Prepare project directives, tender documents, budgets, timelines, and other decision-making materials. Conduct analyses and investigations related to robustness, security, and operational continuity in the municipality's property portfolio. Contribute to the development of the municipality's work in civil defense and crisis preparedness with a focus on facilities and critical infrastructure properties. Responsible for project monitoring, documentation, and experience feedback. Participate in developing requirements for framework agreements and conduct environmental monitoring within the field. Your qualifications and experience Higher education or post-secondary education with a construction technology focus, or equivalent professional experience that the employer deems equivalent. Documented professional experience in project management of building projects related to properties. Very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, and good knowledge of English in speech and writing. Good knowledge of the Office suite and experience working in property-related IT environments. Holds a Category B driver's license. Meritorious qualifications Previous experience in development, improvement, and/or quality work, project management, continuity management, risk and vulnerability analyses, or security protection work. Experience in public sector operations, public procurement law, budgeting, and procurement/purchasing. Education/knowledge in construction contract law. As a person, you are self-driven, initiative-taking, and have a strong drive to move work forward. You have a solution-oriented approach and are comfortable managing complex issues in a structured way. You work goal-oriented and take responsibility for achieving results, while also having strong collaboration skills and building trustful relationships with colleagues and partners. Furthermore, you are quality-conscious and exercise good judgment in your assessments and prioritizations. You have the ability to see the bigger picture, analyze complex contexts, and translate needs and requirements into sustainable and long-term solutions. The role requires you to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances.
