About the Role Sweden has embarked on a historic transformation and faces extensive electrification of society. To demonstrate our commitment to contributing to the energy transition and to continue enabling increased electrification of Sweden, we aim to distribute twice as much electricity through our grid by 2030 and to transmit electricity with 99.99% supply reliability. Our project operations now need to be strengthened with one to two senior project managers with in-depth industry technical experience. Do you have experience leading complex infrastructure projects? Then you might be the person we're looking for! The Project Manager Role We are seeking senior project managers for substation and/or line projects within 20-400kV voltage ranges. You will be ultimately responsible for implementing established goals and have overall responsibility for steering projects to the right cost, quality, and schedule. This includes leading and coordinating projects and communicating and representing Vattenfall's interests to other stakeholders such as authorities, municipalities, and contractors. Travel on business will occur. Responsibilities and Tasks: You will work independently but also collaborate within various project groups on technical matters with the help of internal and external support. Your primary responsibilities include: Lead, allocate, and follow up on work both internally within the project group and externally through our suppliers and contractors Follow up on and serve as a role model for ensuring a safe work environment Create and maintain both external and internal relationships with customers, consultants, and authorities, and collaborate internally with other functions within the company Communicate and report project status to relevant stakeholders and ensure they have the right information Develop strategies to improve procurement processes together with procurement Monitor forecast and budget tracking for approved projects Work proactively with estimation and risk management in the project Requirements We are looking for someone with solid experience in project operations within regional or transmission grids and who thrives in a role where you can combine structure, business acumen, and collaboration to drive complex projects forward. You have likely worked in areas such as power, infrastructure, or construction and have at least 10 years of experience in project operations related to regional or transmission grids. We would like you to have: Post-secondary education, preferably in energy, electrical power, project management, economics, or law, or equivalent work experience. Experience with project planning. Knowledge of contract law is a merit. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Driver's license category B. As a person, you are self-driven and experienced in driving processes forward with a focus on results and quality. You find it easy to create good collaborations and enjoy leading, engaging, and bringing people together around common goals. The role requires strong communication skills and you feel confident communicating with different stakeholders at various organizational levels. We also believe you have a technical interest and the ability to see both the big picture and the details. You are experienced in handling different perspectives and requirements while maintaining focus on established goals. It motivates you to create momentum, find solutions, and contribute to developing tomorrow's electricity grid.
