To demonstrate our ambition to contribute to the energy transition and to continue enabling increased electrification of Sweden, we aim by 2030 to distribute twice as much electricity in our grid and to transmit electricity with 99.99% delivery reliability. Our project operations now need to be reinforced with one to two senior project managers with in-depth industry technical experience. Do you have experience leading complex infrastructure projects? Then you might be the person we're looking for! The Project Manager Role We are seeking senior project managers for substation and/or transmission line projects within 20-400kV voltage levels. You will be ultimately responsible for realizing set objectives and have overall responsibility for steering projects to the right cost, quality, and timeline. This includes leading and coordinating projects as well as communicating and representing Vattenfall's interests in relation to other stakeholders such as authorities, municipalities, and contractors. Business travel will occur. Responsibilities and Tasks: You will work independently but also collaborate within various project teams on technical matters with the help of internal and external support. Your main responsibilities include the following: Lead, allocate, and follow up on work both internally within the project team and externally through our suppliers and contractors Monitor and serve as a role model for and ensure a safe working environment Create and maintain both external and internal relationships with customers, consultants, and authorities as well as collaborate internally with other functions within the company Communicate and report project status to relevant stakeholders and ensure they have the correct information Develop strategies to improve procurement processes together with procurement Monitor forecasts and budget tracking for approved projects Work proactively with estimation and risk management in the project Requirements Specification We are looking for someone with solid experience in project operations within regional or transmission grids and who thrives in a role where you can combine structure, business acumen, and collaboration to drive complex projects forward. You have likely worked within areas such as electrical power, infrastructure, or construction and have at least 10 years of experience in project operations related to regional or transmission grids. We would like to see that you have: Post-secondary education, preferably in energy, electrical power, project management, economics, or law, or corresponding work experience. Experience with project planning. Knowledge of construction law is a merit. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Driver's license (Category B). As a person, you are self-driven and experienced in driving processes forward with a focus on results and quality. You have a talent for creating good collaborations and enjoy leading, engaging, and bringing people together around common goals. The role requires strong communication skills and you feel confident in dialogue with different stakeholders at various levels in the organization. We also believe you have a technical interest and an ability to see both the big picture and the details. You are experienced in handling different perspectives and requirements simultaneously while maintaining direction toward set goals.
