At Trafikverket Färjerederiet, we are undergoing a transformation process toward electrification, climate adaptation, automation, and digitalization that will affect our 70 ferries, 750 employees, and our 22 million passengers. Trafikverket Färjerederiet wants to be at the forefront and drive development toward more sustainable and smart solutions.
According to our long-term plan, Vision 45, Trafikverket Färjerederiet is working to achieve carbon-neutral ferry operations by 2045. We are working on electrifying ferries, and Vision 45 also opens up opportunities to use smart digital solutions to reach our climate goals. To achieve these goals, we are now hiring a maritime engineer to our technology and environment department. The position is located at either Trafikverket's regional office in Gothenburg/Vikingsgatan or Stockholm/Solna strandväg.
As a maritime engineer/project manager, you will be part of the technology and environment department, which currently consists of 16 employees, a maintenance manager, and a technology and environment manager. The department plays a central role within Trafikverket Färjerederiet and provides support while driving continued development. To adapt to environmental and climate requirements, a large portion of the work will involve electrifying and implementing digital solutions on new and existing vessels. In collaboration with operational management, districts, and shipyards, the department ensures that the operational unit has efficient support within the technical field.
Some of the work tasks you will have include:
- Serve as project manager for various types of projects related to the ferry company's terminal facilities
- Initiate, execute, document, and maintain projects
- Ensure compliance with technical, environmental, quality, schedule, financial, and work environment requirements throughout different project phases
- Prepare technical specifications
- Participate in procurement of consultants and contractors
- Provide support in technical solutions, procurement, and warranty matters
- Obtain necessary permits and manage contacts with relevant authorities and suppliers
- Manage communication with internal and external project stakeholders
- Retrieve and register documents in Trafikverket's management system
- Monitor and participate in the establishment of framework and call-off agreements
Qualifications
You need to thrive in a role with significant responsibility where you are flexible, independent, and have strong ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues, managers, and external individuals/groups. You are goal- and solution-oriented and driven by development and continuous improvement. You have high integrity and an ethical and moral approach. The position also places great demands on your communication skills. The project manager will be the link between operations, stakeholders, and suppliers, so a structured working approach is important.
We are looking for you who
- Have a degree in civil engineering or higher education in civil engineering or other education/degree in combination with experience
- Have several years of experience independently leading and driving construction projects/electrical power projects toward established goals regarding schedule, cost, and scope, with at least 2 years as a project manager in a client organization
- Have experience with procurement of consultants and contractors through public procurement regulations
- Have experience working with budgets, forecasts, and financial follow-up
- Can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Hold a driver's license for a passenger car
It is meritorious if you
- Have experience with electrical power supply and energy systems
