We are now seeking a project manager for the underwater weapons unit who wants to help shape the future of submarine combat systems. Do you want to be part of qualified projects where you're involved from needs assessment to delivery? Then you might be the person we're looking for.
About the Position
As a project manager in the underwater weapons field, you will have a key role in developing and driving projects that strengthen Sweden's maritime defense capabilities. Here you will help realize technical solutions that make a real difference both beneath the surface and far beyond. In the role, you lead projects through the entire delivery chain, from needs and specification to procurement, testing, verification, and delivery of advanced equipment.
You are responsible for project finances, planning, and resources, and you ensure that deliveries maintain high quality and meet operational requirements. This is an assignment for someone who thrives in the intersection of technology, operations, and leadership. As a project manager, you are also responsible for communication with multiple contact points, both internally and externally. You will have the freedom to influence, space to think innovatively, and support from an experienced team that shares your commitment to development and innovation. Together you will create sustainable and high-technology solutions that contribute to protecting Sweden's interests both now and in the future.
The position is based in Stockholm and travel is part of the role.
About You
We are looking for someone with a degree in civil engineering or higher education, or equivalent competence acquired in other ways that we consider equivalent. To succeed in the role, it is also necessary that you have several years of relevant and current work experience as an engineer. It is a merit if you have project management training and knowledge of how to manage projects using established methods, such as PMI. We also view favorably if you have worked with public procurement or other contract work, as well as if you have experience from the defense sector.
Personal qualities are very important to us. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences, and we are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, is responsive, and solves problems in a constructive way.
