About the Role
We are now seeking a project manager who wants to take a central role in developing complex and safety-critical systems for future aircraft. You will become part of a specialist organization working with overall system design and technical development, where the focus is on translating advanced technology into functioning comprehensive solutions.
In this role, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving technical development projects through the entire development chain. You lead the work forward based on the project's objectives regarding time, technology, and economics, and function as a link between engineers, technical leaders, project management, and other stakeholders. The role is operationally close and suits you if you thrive being present in the technical day-to-day work rather than working purely administratively.
You will work with complex systems where multiple technical areas need to be integrated and work together. The projects are characterized by long development cycles, high quality requirements, and a fast pace. As a project manager, you are expected to create structure, make decisions, and ensure that work is driven forward while building strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
Your Profile
We believe you have experience in project management or technical leadership within the aviation, defense, automotive, or other advanced technology industry. You may, for example, have worked with the development of aircraft, embedded systems, systems integration, or safety-critical products. Experience from operations where complex systems need to function as a whole is considered particularly valuable.
For those coming from the automotive industry, experience in advanced systems development, technical project management, or work in large development organizations is highly relevant. If you have also worked in environments where functional safety, systems integration, or supplier management have been a natural part of your day-to-day work, that is a major advantage.
As a person, you are a confident and engaged leader who is motivated by helping people succeed together. You are unpretentious, communicative, and enjoy sharing your experience with less experienced colleagues. At the same time, you have the ability to create direction, prioritize in complex situations, and drive work forward even when circumstances change.
Mandatory Requirements for the Position:
• Several years of experience in technical project management or technical leadership within complex product development
• Engineering degree in, for example, engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
• Experience from the aviation, defense, automotive, or other technically advanced industry
• For this position, you are required to undergo and be approved according to applicable security clearance regulations, which may require certain citizenship
Meritorious for the Position:
• Experience with supplier contact
• Experience in a leading position within the technical industry
• Interest in aviation technology
