Your Future Challenge
You will be a key person in the development of our business processes and IT systems. With engaged leadership, you drive digitalization and business development projects from idea to implementation. This with a strong focus on change management, efficiency, and business value.
You lead cross-functional project teams with participants from the business, IT, and external partners. Together you ensure that solutions are implemented successfully, handed over in a structured manner to operations, and contribute to the business's goals.
The work involves conducting needs analyses and requirement gathering in close dialogue with the business and IT, planning and following up on projects, and reporting status to steering committees, the project management office, and other stakeholders. You are responsible for delivering projects with high quality, on time, and within budget.
For system changes, you ensure that solutions follow our strategies and architectural principles and meet legal and internal requirements in areas such as IT and information security.
You will be part of the Information Management & Technology (IM&T) department, a Shared Service that provides IT and related services to BAE Systems business units in Sweden – BAE Systems Bofors in Karlskoga and BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik. Here about 30 employees work together with a large number of consultants. The department implements and leads development and improvement initiatives and also handles all support for our applications and services, often through coordination of subcontractors.
Travel is part of the work, primarily to our offices in Sweden.
The role reports to the Head of Project Management Office.
Who You Are
You are passionate about continuous improvement where efficiency and digitalization are central. We would like to see that you as an applicant have an academic degree in project management, digitalization, or business development. However, what matters most is your knowledge in the field. We therefore highly value previous professional experience as a project manager in IT and/or business development.
You should also have process knowledge within manufacturing industry and experience of complex business and IT environments, for example in ERP/PLM, digital workplace, information security, or infrastructure-related projects. The work can range from business-close process and system support to secure information handling and development of technical platforms.
As a person, you have strong self-drive and take great responsibility. You have good collaboration and communication skills and thrive in a role where you work both independently and as part of a larger team. Delivering quality is important to you, you are goal-oriented while also curious and see new challenges and new technical solutions in a positive light. Sharing knowledge and having a positive approach to problems is self-evident to you.
Good Swedish and English in speech/writing is a requirement as this is used in the workplace and in dialogue with suppliers.
Our project teams often sit geographically dispersed so you should have a good ability to work in and lead teams remotely.
