About the Position Professionals Nord is seeking an experienced construction project manager on behalf of our client. Our client is an established consulting firm in the construction industry that works with projects in industrial facilities, offices, and other types of properties and business environments. In your role as project manager, you will support clients throughout the entire construction process – from initial ideas and preliminary investigations to implementation, handover, and commissioning. Projects vary in both scope and character, and you will have a central role where you drive the work forward and create structure and confidence for both the client and the broader project organization. This is a direct hire position where you will be employed directly by our client. Depending on the project and client, the role may include: Planning projects regarding organization, resources, schedule, quality, and budget Providing owner support and serving as a primary contact person for the client Leading and coordinating the project organization toward established goals Managing and monitoring budget, schedule, and quality Calling and leading project meetings Managing contacts with authorities and other external parties Working with workplace environment issues and risk analyses Preparing tender documents and participating in procurement processes Handling contractor-related matters and construction contract law Contributing expertise in early phases when the project is still at the idea or vision level We Are Looking for Someone Who Has a degree in construction engineering, civil engineering, or other relevant construction education Alternatively, has acquired equivalent competence through at least 5–10 years of experience in the construction sector Has good understanding of different parts and phases of the construction process Has experience leading and driving construction projects Has natural leadership qualities and feels confident in interactions with clients, contractors, and other project participants Has excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written It is advantageous if you are or have experience as: Inspection responsible according to PBL Building inspector BAS-P and/or BAS-U certified Moisture expert Project manager in large or public projects Project manager in very early phases, where you have been involved in developing projects from idea and "blank slate" Worked with design and conception of, for example, buildings, environments, or industrial solutions through sketches, concepts, and visions We believe you are a confident and communicative person who enjoys taking responsibility and driving work forward. You have a talent for building trust and thrive in a role where you collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other project participants. As a person, you are unpretentious and happy to share your experiences while being comfortable working independently. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to see both the big picture and the details necessary for a project to achieve its goals.
