WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As a project manager, you ensure efficient projects with high quality. You receive overall responsibility for exciting and complex investment projects in infrastructure, streets, roads, and development. Your role is primarily that of a client representative and project manager where you coordinate, lead, and follow up on work between the municipality's operations, external consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders. You are responsible for controlling project progress regarding time, budget, and quality, as well as ensuring that project goals are achieved. Beyond your role as project manager, you will also work with other tasks. For example, you will have strategic responsibility for the municipality's asphalt and street maintenance, as well as follow up on restoration work following excavation in the municipality's streets. This work requires strong communication skills as ongoing contact with external parties is common. Your main responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate projects from pre-study to handover. • Establish and follow up on project budgets, forecasts, and schedules. • Procure and manage consultants and contractors. • Ensure quality, work environment, and regulatory compliance in projects. • Develop decision-making documents and present them in political forums. • Collaborate with developers, authorities, the business community, residents, and municipal operations and companies. • Handle project risks, changes, and follow-up throughout implementation. • Long-term planning of the municipality's asphalt and street maintenance. • Be responsible for the municipality's forest assets. • Handle individual road contributions. As a project manager with us, you become an important part of the municipality administration's infrastructure and community development department, where business development, land and development issues, traffic issues, sustainability matters, and public health issues are managed. Together, we work to create an attractive and sustainable municipality for residents and businesses. In your work, you have support primarily from your nearest colleagues who work as land and development engineers, traffic engineer, infrastructure coordinator, and sustainability strategist. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have: • University education in civil engineering, building technology, or other university education that the employer deems relevant. • Experience working in the street, road, or construction sector. • Experience in project management within the construction, infrastructure, or engineering sector, or other experience that the employer deems relevant. • Documented experience in driving projects from pre-study through implementation and handover. • Good knowledge of contract law for construction and standard agreements in the construction and engineering sector. • Experience with digital systems and tools and viewing digital development as a natural part of working to achieve goals. • Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. • Class B driver's license. Meritorious: • Master's degree in roads and water or civil engineering. • BAS-P/BAS-U. • Experience with development projects. • Experience from municipal operations or other politically governed organization. • Knowledge of AMA Construction, contract law (AB/ABT), and public procurement according to LOU. • Experience working with traffic, urban development, or infrastructure issues. • Documented knowledge of or experience with asphalt surfacing and long-term maintenance planning of roads or road surfaces.
