WORK TASKS About the Assignment Swedish education is facing extensive changes with several major reforms to be implemented at a rapid pace, while the school administration is also facing demographic changes. To ensure that the implementation of national reforms proceeds with foresight and is integrated into our existing processes, we are now seeking a driven project manager for school reform implementation. The position is a project employment placed under the Operations Manager for Primary School, with the School Administration's management team as the steering committee. The assignment includes leading reform work on, among other things, a ten-year compulsory school, new curricula, a new grading system, safety and study environment, improved support in schools, time for teaching duties, school principals in focus, and the professional program. Your main areas of responsibility include: As project manager, you will plan, lead, and coordinate the work of implementing upcoming school reforms. Develop and take responsibility for clear project plans with identifiable sub-projects and decision points. Identify how reforms affect current organization, finances, and governance, through an iterative working method where analysis, implementation, and follow-up occur continuously. You will also seek support and collaborate with actors such as SKR, the Swedish Schools Inspectorate, and the Municipal Federation GR. You serve as a central point for information and dialogue with principals, union representatives, and other important stakeholders. You produce decision-making materials and official memoranda and lead these processes from dialogue to final decision. QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in the role, we are looking for you with the following background and competence: You are a trained teacher and have documented experience in project management. It is an advantage if you have training and experience as a principal, in process leadership, and have driven development work within schools. You have knowledge of preparatory work and propositions regarding the upcoming reforms, so that you can serve as a competence support to fulfill the legislator's intentions. You have high digital competence, work regularly with generative AI, and use various presentation tools to visualize your presentations. You have the ability to navigate between different stakeholders and decision-makers in a politically governed organization. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are a transparent and inclusive process leader who creates participation in early stages to bring the entire organization along on the change journey. You are self-driven, proactive, and have good analytical ability to identify overlaps between different processes and avoid parallel work. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and enjoy presenting materials to management teams and collaborating at different levels.
