Company Description Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 700 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that trains personnel in Swedish nuclear power, supplies nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services to all of Vattenfall's operations, group staff, and stakeholders. This includes activities such as developing and providing training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigations, product development, and nuclear technical safety and dam safety assignments. Within the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit, our focus is on developing our project management capabilities and selected key technical disciplines. We actively work with continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and expertise create significant value for Vattenfall and its investments. About the Role As a project manager with us, you will lead complex projects that directly contribute to the development of Sweden's future fossil-free energy system. We are seeking experienced project managers who want to take responsibility for assignments within nuclear power, hydropower, and energy infrastructure – in a mission-critical operation where quality, safety, and long-term focus are paramount. With us, you will work on varied assignments within the energy sector, often in close collaboration with our partners, such as Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant, SKB, and Hydro. The projects span multiple areas, such as facility modifications, construction, real estate, and IT, and vary in both scope and complexity – from smaller teams to larger projects with many involved stakeholders and suppliers. As a project manager in this role: you lead cross-functional project teams and create conditions for effective collaboration you are responsible for defining objectives, scope, and requirements together with relevant stakeholders you ensure that projects deliver according to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality requirements you contribute to continuous development by capturing experiences and sharing lessons learned Through your work, you contribute to safe, stable, and sustainable energy production – and to Vattenfall's goal of a fossil-free future. You will become part of a team characterized by openness, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. We actively work with competence development, experience exchange, and networking – both within the unit and in close collaboration with other parts of the organization. Requirements Specification We are looking for someone with experience leading projects and who thrives in a role where you can combine structure, collaboration, and responsibility. You have a good understanding of project management and are driven by creating results together with others. Requirements At least 5 years of experience in project management/project work Ability to plan, drive, and follow up projects within time, budget, and quality Experience with financial and resource planning in projects Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with various types of stakeholders Civil engineer degree or equivalent relevant academic education Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Category B driver's license Merits Experience from the energy sector, for example nuclear technical operations or hydropower Certification in project management (e.g., PMI, IPMA, or similar) Experience with project management tools Personal Qualities We believe that you: are a confident and communicative leader who creates engagement and builds trust have a structured way of working and a good ability to prioritize and adapt in a changing environment see the bigger picture and drive work forward with a clear focus on results thrive in collaboration and contribute to a positive team climate We value both your experience and your personal qualities.
