Position Description The implementation of the activity requirement represents an important step to help more Gothenburg residents get support to enter work or studies and strengthen their opportunities for financial independence. Employment and Adult Education has a central role in this development work and is now seeking an experienced project manager who will lead and coordinate the implementation of the activity requirement and contribute to creating sustainable working methods in close collaboration with other departments in Gothenburg City and other stakeholders. Responsibilities As a project manager, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and driving the implementation of the activity requirement within Employment and Adult Education in accordance with the city's processes and the department's mandate. The role involves close collaboration with project managers and representatives from affected departments, particularly social services, to develop common working methods and processes and ensure equitable implementation. The assignment also includes monitoring the external environment and collaboration with external stakeholders to identify and develop their possible contributions to implementing the activity requirement. You are responsible for communication initiatives linked to the implementation in close collaboration with relevant functions and work to ensure that affected target groups receive clear, relevant, and accessible information. You also analyze legislation and national reforms that affect the operations and assess their consequences for the department's working methods, processes, and strategic direction. The role also includes participation in developing related processes, such as employment initiatives, to ensure coordinated and efficient implementation. You monitor implementation, identify areas for development, and contribute to establishing long-term and sustainable working methods within the operations. This is a one-year project position with the possibility of extension. Qualifications We are looking for someone with higher education of at least 180 credits in areas such as social sciences, public administration, behavioral sciences, or another area that the employer deems equivalent. The role requires several years of experience in change management as well as experience working in employment activities. You must also have previously worked in a politically governed organization. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of social services' mandate and conditions. The role requires very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have documented experience in qualified project management and implementation work within the public sector. As a person, you are driven and take responsibility, turn ideas into action, and work purposefully to achieve results, both independently and together with others. You are change-oriented and see opportunities for development and improvement. Through a pedagogical working approach, you create understanding for change and handle different perspectives and viewpoints in a constructive way. Since the work involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, you need to be collaboration-oriented and have the ability to build trusting relationships by listening, showing respect, and creating participation. You actively contribute to common goals and work to ensure that the assignment is completed in the best possible way. You can see your work as part of a larger context and understand how your own work affects and is affected by other parts of the organization, and you collaborate across organizational boundaries to create value.
