Project Manager Electrical & Automation – Avesta Operations (PMO)
Outokumpu Avesta is growing – and now we are looking for a technically strong project manager who wants to drive our investment projects in Electrical & Automation. With us, you will have a central role in developing, modernizing and future-proofing our production through qualified maintenance efforts and facility modifications.
This is a role for you who thrives close to operations, enjoys being out in the plant and wants to drive projects from early feasibility studies to final delivery. You will be the one who holds everything together - technically, financially and on schedule.
About the Role
As Project Manager Electrical & Automation, you will lead technical projects related to production equipment of the nature of re-investments, modernizations and process technology upgrades.
You are responsible for the entire project lifecycle: from feasibility study to implementation and closure. This in close collaboration with maintenance, production and external stakeholders.
You are a support expert in Electrical & Automation to the entire organization in feasibility studies, procurements and project implementation.
You will, among other things:
conduct technical feasibility studies, needs analyses and develop requirement specifications
lead projects according to Outokumpu's project model
be responsible for budget, scope and schedule
coordinate and lead internal specialists and external suppliers
follow up deliveries, including FAT/SAT, risk analyses and technical choices
ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with our safety and quality requirements
The role is operations-focused - you spend a lot of time in the plant, have discussions with technicians, maintenance and production and ensure that projects work in practice.

You are placed centrally in the Asset Management & Investments organization, part of Outokumpu Avesta's Project Management Office (PMO), our common project office.

We are looking for a project manager who combines technical expertise with structure, communication and drive. You enjoy leading, collaborating and taking initiative and you like the feeling of seeing concrete results of your work.
You are:
structured and confident in working according to project models
analytical with good understanding of both technology and the bigger picture
communicative and collaboration-oriented
curious, development-oriented and experienced in driving things forward
operational, practically minded and comfortable in production
Qualifications
Technical education in electrical/automation, or equivalent documented experience
Experience in project management in electrical/automation in industry or similar
Good language skills in Swedish and English
Meritorious:
Experience in maintenance, production or industrial environment
Experience with FAT/SAT, technical requirement specifications and supplier management
Experience with investment projects
