WORK TASKS
We are seeking an engaged and experienced project manager who wants to help continue developing future marine management in the Southern Bothnian Sea.
This position is part of ongoing national work, where new approaches for ecosystem-based marine management (EBHF) were established through a pilot project from 2021-2025 and are now being scaled up in respective areas while new EBHF areas are being established along Sweden's coast. Within the Southern Bothnian Sea area, you will work together with operations managers from the Regional Administration of Gävleborg. Additionally, the work is carried out in close collaboration with the Agency for Marine and Water Management and other project managers within other EBHF areas, as well as locally within the Southern Bothnian Sea with a broad spectrum of actors—from authorities and municipalities to businesses, research, interest organizations, and civil society. You will have a key role in continuing to develop the work and driving long-term, knowledge-based, and action-oriented work for the marine and water environment. Beyond responsibility for this project, you contribute your expertise within the Nature Office organization in Tierp Municipality.
The role involves both strategic and operational work, with significant autonomy and many points of contact.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an academic education in, for example, marine biology, limnology, ecology, water management, or other education that we consider relevant. You have a good natural science systems understanding and the ability to analyze complex relationships. You have documented experience in project management, including experience leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders, planning, implementing, and following up projects against goals and budget, as well as working with reporting to clients or funders. It is desirable that you have at least three years of relevant work experience. You are experienced at developing, interpreting, or using facts and knowledge bases and can integrate scientific knowledge with local/practical knowledge and conditions.
As a person, you have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You communicate clearly and project credibility and confidence. Giving presentations, lectures, and training where you adapt these to the target audience's needs and feedback comes naturally to you. You have the ability to plan and organize your work and find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and close out activities.
To ensure good and secure communication with colleagues and actors within the project, we require good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Since work-related travel occurs, you must have a driver's license (Category B).
