As a Project Manager BEST at Trafikverket, you will facilitate everyday life for residents and businesses throughout Sweden by contributing to Sweden's future infrastructure. Trafikverket is planning two new railway tracks between Hässleholm and Lund to cost-effectively improve commuter rail and increase freight transport capacity. We are now seeking a Project Manager BEST for the Hässleholm-Lund program. The program encompasses multiple projects and is currently in the Location Investigation phase for the Hässleholm-Lund line and in the design phase for the railway plan in Lund. The program also includes projects referred to as the Malmö measures, which are part of capacity-enhancing initiatives in Scania. Projects Malmö C (additional platform tracks) and Malmö C - Östervärn (double-track) are the most advanced. The program has also been tasked with reducing lead times, which is a significant and challenging undertaking that everyone in the program will work on.

Job Responsibilities
As a Project Manager BEST, you will work as a coordinating project manager and lead a team of specialists supporting projects within the technical areas of track, electrical, signal, and telecommunications. You will manage and be responsible for planning, control, and monitoring of work in the technical areas, as well as coordination with other parts of the project within the project management group. You will prepare and review documents and provide project managers with engineering specifications regarding technical matters. You may also participate in supplementary investigation work within the Hässleholm-Lund program and will have an active role in introducing new team members to the program within the technical areas. Initially, an important task will be collaborating with UH regarding the development of facility engineering needs and requirements. You will participate in consultant and contractor procurement processes at all stages and provide support in developing procurement descriptions and specification requirements.
Your leadership as a Project Manager BEST is characterized by building trust, clarifying direction, and delivering results. Through clear communication about expectations and goals, you delegate and follow up. You inspire, create ownership, and drive development together with your team and in collaboration with others. You are proactive, structured, and quality-conscious in your commitments and have strong analytical abilities.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
a university degree in civil engineering or other education that we assess as equivalent in combination with relevant experience
broad general expertise and several years of current, relevant experience working with various matters related to the technical areas of Track, Electrical, Signal, and Telecommunications
several years of current and relevant work experience in management and leadership in a coordinating function within the BEST area
strong experience in planning work related to infrastructure construction
good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
a driver's license for a private car
It is also desirable if you have:
experience or basic understanding of planning and/or implementation of ERTMS
strong experience working in a similar role in the preparation phase, such as the planning phase with system specifications
experience with both design and construction phases within railway projects
experience from large, complex assignments
