Stiftelsen Jamtli, Jämtlands länsmuseum, can be described as three museums in one location. Here you'll find an open-air museum with animals, historic buildings and agriculture, the regional museum's cultural history exhibitions, and Nationalmuseum Jamtli, operated in collaboration with Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. Jamtli has approximately 100 employees and conducts broad museum activities including collection management, art and cultural heritage educational programs, archaeological and architectural heritage work throughout Jämtlands county, exhibitions and special events. We also have a gift shop, café, restaurant and a hostel. Particularly during summer, Jamtli is a popular tourist destination in Östersund. Currently, Jamtli is seeking Project Manager – Develop business models for the future of cultural heritage Would you like to help strengthen the long-term development of cultural heritage in Jämtlands county? We are looking for an engaged project manager who wants to lead a development project focused on identifying and developing sustainable networks, business models and practices for cultural heritage sites and heritage actors. The project aims to create conditions for a stronger, more sustainable and economically viable cultural heritage through new methods, collaboration and business development. About the assignment As project manager, you will have overall responsibility for planning, implementing and driving the project toward established goals. You will work closely with the project's partners, build networks with relevant stakeholders and be the face of the project externally. The assignment involves both strategic and operational work. You need to be able to translate ideas into action, create engagement and ensure that the project delivers concrete results. We are looking for you who • Have documented experience leading projects and people with good results. • Are a skilled leader who builds trust and brings different stakeholders to work toward common goals. • Are a natural network builder with a well-established contact network in the region. • Are an excellent communicator in speech, writing and visual presentations and enjoy representing the project externally. • Are action-oriented and operational – you get things done. • Have strategic ability and can translate long-term goals into concrete activities. • Have experience in business development and a clear business-minded approach. • Have good administrative skills and experience in project planning, monitoring and reporting. • Have high integrity and can act independently in the project's and partnership's interest. Meritorious • Experience from cultural heritage, tourism or destination development. • Experience from innovation or development projects. • Experience collaborating between public sector, business and civil society. • Experience with external funding and projects financed by for example the EU or regional development funds. The role involves significant independent responsibility, many contacts and excellent opportunities to influence the project's content and results. Stiftelsen Jamtli is the project owner and employer for the project manager. Heimbygda and Nordiskt Centrum för Kulturarvspedagogik (NCK) are project partners.
