About the Role You'll become a key player in the development team where technology, innovation, and customer customization meet every day. You work closely with designers, development engineers, and application engineers on projects spanning everything from new materials and processes to advanced solutions in automotive and medtech. The role involves natural team leadership responsibility where you help prioritize, coordinate, and create structure in development work, while also serving as an important link between the team and the development manager. We're Looking for You If... …you've worked a few years as a development engineer and enjoy when technology, projects, and people meet in the same day. You've driven product development from idea to finished solution before and feel comfortable holding together both projects, people, and different contact points along the way. You're used to working broadly within the development process, from requirements definition, testing, and material selection to coordination, problem-solving, and implementation, rather than being responsible for just one part of the chain. You're used to creating structure and driving work forward, but at the same time understand the importance of flexibility when priorities change or new needs arise. We believe you're someone who enjoys collaboration, takes responsibility naturally, and appreciates working in an environment where people help each other find the best solutions. Requirements: Approximately 3–5 years of experience as a development engineer Experience driving or coordinating technical projects from start to finish Background from, for example, automotive, medtech, aerospace, rail, or other regulated industries Used to working in a structured way but also flexible when projects and priorities change Curiosity and a desire to continue developing together with the team and the business Swedish and English, spoken and written Merits: Experience with electronics development, hardware, and software About the Company Backer Calesco is a global leader in flexible film heating elements and advanced heating solutions.
