The Department of Industrial Economics is now announcing a project coordinator position within the framework of the 3-year project "Artistic Entrepreneurship and Sounding Cultural Heritage - for a Living Countryside," based on Performance and Communication Skills (PACS). About the project Performance and Communication Skills (PACS) is a 3-year project supported by Familjen Kamprads stiftelse. The project conducts research and educational activities focused on professional development in artistic entrepreneurship, cross-border artistic practice, creative expression, and research. The activities are carried out in collaboration between Blekinge Institute of Technology, Royal College of Music, and Linnaeus University, and take the form of a summer academy as an artistic environment. Starting points and perspectives from multiple directions are combined to inspire and develop artistic entrepreneurship and sounding cultural heritage – for a living countryside. Job Description As a project coordinator, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and practically implementing the project's activities and creating conditions for the project's activities to contribute to the project's purpose and goals, and to be carried out with high quality. Your duties include: - planning, coordinating, and following up the project's activities, with particular responsibility for the artistic content, planning, organization, and practical implementation of the summer academy. - coordinating contacts between the project's parties as well as with external actors, organizers, and collaboration partners in the region. - leading the artistic work and taking responsibility for the artistic content and production-related tasks in connection with concerts, workshops, seminars, and other public events, including facilities, technology, logistics, and travel. - developing project plans, timelines, governance documents, and information materials. - providing support in budget monitoring, contracts, procurement, and purchasing, and assisting with financial and operational reporting to the funder. - contributing to the project's communication and visibility, for example through web, social media, and media contacts. - documenting the project's activities and supporting documentation of dialogue seminars and other artistic development work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with experience coordinating or leading projects. You have experience independently planning and implementing activities involving many stakeholders and are accustomed to administration, follow-up, and documentation in project form. You have a strong command of Swedish in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of English in both speech and writing. Meritorious for the position are: • experience in artistic leadership • experience in production within music or culture, for example concerts, festivals, tours, or academies • education in project management and experience with externally funded projects and collaboration between multiple higher education institutions • knowledge of artistic development work and cross-border artistic practice and familiarity with the Dialogue Seminar as a research method • own network within cultural and musical life, preferably with established relationships with the project's parties and actors within the project's geographical area The work requires great ability to coordinate, inspire, and create a good collaborative climate. Independence, collaboration skills, and communication skills are important qualities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Work location: Karlskrona. Position extent: 80%.
