Popis:

Do you want to contribute to high-quality medical research? The Childhood Tumor Bank (CTB) is a research infrastructure, national specimen collection, and research project in the field of childhood cancer that also performs large-scale molecular and genomic analyses on collected samples. The overarching goal of CTB is to contribute to high-quality research on tumor diseases in children, which includes making samples and linked collected data as well as generated molecular/genomic data available to qualified researchers, following a formal application process. CTB also provides support and collaborates with clinical studies and various research projects, and coordinates the Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS) initiative for childhood cancer, which has involved implementing clinical whole genome sequencing within childhood cancer care. CTB's operations cover all solid tumor diagnoses in children, and core operations take place at Karolinska Institute. We are now seeking a motivated project coordinator to contribute to the continued development of the Childhood Tumor Bank and our various collaborations and projects. Your Role As a project coordinator, you will be responsible for administration, documentation, and participation in the preparation of research requests submitted to the Childhood Tumor Bank, as well as help develop case management procedures including follow-up work. You will also have an important function in preparing materials, guidelines, and reports concerning various aspects of operations and participate in organizational planning. You will be involved in medico-legal matters and processes for making biobank materials and linked personal data and analysis data available to research, as well as management of research data generated within the GMS initiative. Environmental monitoring within relevant fields is also expected. Your role requires you to collaborate and communicate internally and externally with researchers, clinically active staff, and other organizations CTB interacts with, such as Stockholm Medical Biobank, which is the responsible biobank for CTB's specimen collection, and Karolinska University Hospital, which is the responsible organization for personal data. You will also be responsible for keeping the website updated. Who Are You? You have relevant university education, preferably research training, and extensive experience with preparation work, project management, and administrative tasks. You can express yourself very well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, and have good computer skills. It is an advantage if you have professional experience with biobank matters, ethics reviews, cancer research, and genomic data. The work requires excellent ability to collaborate and cooperate with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, and you need to be organized, thorough, service-oriented, have good initiative, and be able to work independently. What Do We Offer?
