Your Workplace Regionfastigheter is an important support function within Region Värmland, responsible for developing, managing, and operating the region's real estate. We create sustainable, functional facilities for healthcare and other operations. Regionfastigheter has approximately 100 employees in project management, facility management, and operations. Currently, several major real estate projects are underway – including Nya CSK, one of the region's largest development projects. Regionfastigheter provides services and facilities to support the Region's operations. Through construction, installation, and renovation projects, we manage and enhance property value. Advanced technology, artistic design, and a focus on sustainability issues characterize our processes and ensure that indoor and outdoor environments contribute to safety, well-being, and trust. We own approximately 450,000 square meters of our own facilities and lease an additional approximately 100,000 square meters. We are a development-oriented real estate organization and lead the way in our environmental work. Safe and efficient operations require functional facilities and modern technical equipment. Construction projects such as renovations, new buildings, and earthwork are therefore a natural part of the real estate environment. However, these projects also pose risks to ongoing operations, including dust spread, noise, and interruptions in critical supplies such as electricity, gas, and ventilation. The organization is in a development phase where work on risk management and occupational health in construction projects is being strengthened and systematized. The position of risk and occupational health engineer is a newly established key function. This work involves close collaboration between operations, the real estate organization, and external stakeholders. You will organizationally belong to the real estate project team, collaborating with various functions and roles depending on where in the process the matter or project is located. Your Responsibilities As a risk and occupational health engineer, you are responsible for leading and coordinating risk management work in construction projects, with emphasis on healthcare environments. You ensure that risks to patients, staff, and visitors are identified, analyzed, and managed in a structured manner and that work is conducted according to established procedures and processes. The role involves both operational participation in individual projects and strategic responsibility for developing and improving working methods over time. You work to minimize disruptions in construction project implementation, ensure that decided measures are carried out, and follow up and evaluate their effectiveness. Furthermore, you are responsible for developing and systematizing work on occupational health from a client perspective, where the focus is on ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines. Work is carried out in close collaboration with operations, contractors, consultants, and functions such as BAS-P and BAS-U. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education in construction, technology, occupational health, safety, or equivalent, or who has acquired equivalent competence through work experience. You may, for example, have a background as a project engineer or in a similar role. You have several years of experience working in construction projects or with risk and occupational health matters and have good understanding of complex or business-critical environments. You have strong analytical skills and experience developing and implementing working methods and processes. Additionally, you have experience leading, coordinating, or coordinating work between different stakeholders and the ability to work independently and make well-founded decisions. It is advantageous if you have experience working in healthcare environments or other operations with high demands for continuity and safety. Experience working in the client role or from a client perspective is also advantageous, as is knowledge of occupational health legislation and related regulations in construction and infrastructure projects. To succeed in this role, you are organized and have a systematic approach to work. You are independent and driven, with the ability to take responsibility and move work forward. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are communicative and relationship-building. You thrive in collaboration with various functions and have a good overview of the bigger picture. Furthermore, you are flexible and stable, even in changing and complex environments.
