We are recruiting in parallel with this role to the department three other project engineer positions within the areas of Cost Control, Quality, and Work Environment. We need to strengthen our operations at Civil North in Norrbotten with a project engineer for our ongoing and upcoming projects. As a Project Engineer in Planning at NCC, you will have an important role in driving our projects forward – from idea to reality. You will be part of a committed team of project engineers where you have the opportunity to develop within planning, while contributing to creating sustainable solutions for the society of the future. The Project Engineer Planning Position As a Project Engineer in Planning, you have an important role in ensuring that the project is executed efficiently according to plan by establishing and reviewing schedules and ensuring the connection to budgets. You work closely with project management who owns their schedules, and your task is to establish, follow up actual against forecast, adjust and maintain schedules in scheduling software. In the role, you have many contact points and collaborate with both production and design, contracts and environment, hold work meetings and participate in sub-project meetings. As a project engineer in the department, you will report to our Group Manager in the production group and work together with our other project engineers in the department and also in the project, as well as being part of networks within the field within NCC, such as participating in a specialist network that focuses on planning. Your Profile To be successful and thrive in the role, you have production experience combined with technical university education and an interest in planning issues. You have a background as, for example, Planning Specialist, Project/Construction Engineer, Site Manager, or Project Manager. You are experienced in working with scheduling software and can present information in a simple and pedagogical manner. You understand the connections between good planning, progress and economics. You see the big picture in planning management and can then break it down to detail level. As a person, you find it easy to build relationships and are clear in your communication with both internal and external stakeholders. We place great emphasis on you being proactive, self-driven, development-oriented and responsible. To succeed in the role, you also need to have pedagogical ability where you clearly and naturally bring your surroundings along. You have a structured way of working and have the ability to plan your work, enjoy driving multiple issues in parallel, and you like the administrative part as well as enjoy being close to the pulse in production. You speak and write both Swedish and English and hold a category B driving license. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. About Civil North Our Civil North department works with land, facilities and infrastructure projects. We are approximately 500 committed employees divided into seven production manager groups within our geography of Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Jämtland and Värmland. Further Information The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. The role requires regular physical presence at our projects, and we are therefore looking for someone who lives – or has the opportunity to settle – in Norrbotten County. Our initial projects are within commuting distance from Luleå, but weekly commuting to other project sites may occur later. Start by agreement. A category B driving license is a requirement for the position. This position will be subject to background checks in accordance with NCC's security culture.
