About Building Norrland We build and renovate both commercial and public buildings as well as residential properties throughout Norrland, from Sundsvall in the south to Luleå in the north. The department consists of approximately 200 engaged employees, both salaried staff and skilled workers, who together drive projects forward with a focus on sustainable and long-term solutions. About the role as Project Engineer - Occupational Safety In your role as a Project Engineer for occupational safety, you will focus on occupational safety in the project. You work closely with site management and will also support our quality and environmental managers on certain occupational safety issues in the project. This is a role for someone who wants to combine administrative occupational safety work with close collaboration in the field. You plan and follow up on occupational safety work, manage risk assessments, training and reporting, and update documentation as changes occur. You lead safety rounds, maintain close dialogue with skilled workers, and ensure that the occupational safety plan is followed through daily inspections and monitoring of deviations. Your Profile We are looking for someone with experience as a project engineer, work leader, or equivalent role with a focus on occupational safety. You are confident in your professional role and accustomed to working independently with follow-up, compliance, and structure to ensure a safe work environment in projects. The role requires a mature and methodical approach. You thrive in an environment where quality, thoroughness, and integrity are central. As a person, you are organized, take responsibility, and are confident in identifying and raising occupational safety risks. You have good administrative skills and work carefully from start to finish. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. Additional Information The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. The role requires regular physical presence at our projects, and we are therefore looking for someone who lives—or has the opportunity to relocate—in Norrbotten County. Our initial projects are within commuting distance from Luleå, but it is also possible to commute conveniently from northern Västerbotten, for example from Skellefteå. A B-category driving license is required as our projects are located where our customers are. This position is subject to a background check in accordance with NCC's security culture.
