As a Project Engineer at Södra Malmbanan, you will contribute to creating a safe and stable railway system and to developing the future of railway maintenance. Responsibilities One of the Swedish Transport Administration's current development initiatives is the establishment of in-house development platforms designed to create conditions for increased learning and more efficient maintenance. The development platforms focus on different areas, and one of them is dedicated to corrective and preventive maintenance of Södra Malmbanan (SMB). The Project Engineer assists the Production Manager in all project management tasks, such as: - record keeping and documentation - financial administration - forecasting work - monitoring of time, cost, quality, safety, work environment, and environment As a Project Engineer, you will also be involved in analyzing and following up on facility events to provide the basis for decisions on measures and orders. The Production Manager, Project Engineer, Maintenance Engineers, contracted consultants, and contractors work together to deliver a safe and accessible railway facility that meets society's needs for travel and transport on SMB. The position is based in Boden. Qualifications Who are you? To succeed in the role of Project Engineer, you have strong problem-solving skills; you solve operational problems without losing sight of long-term strategies and you perceive and analyze connections in the complex information environment surrounding the railway. You are proactive and can independently see what needs to be done and act accordingly. You have excellent communication skills, convey your message clearly, and you are receptive and adapt your communication to the situation. You are confident as a person and have the courage to voice your own opinions. As a Project Engineer, it is also important to be collaboration-oriented and adaptable to achieve common goals, as well as to have a humble attitude to find solutions that are beneficial to all parties. We are looking for someone who has: - a university or college education of at least 180 credits in a relevant field or other educational background combined with work experience that we consider equivalent - good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written - very good knowledge of the Office package, particularly Excel - a driver's license for a passenger car It is also desirable if you have: - experience working with budgets, forecasting, and financial monitoring - experience working with railways Additional Information Would you like a flexible workday with the opportunity to work from home?
