Design Coordinator / Construction Manager for Buildings We invite you to an exciting assignment within Västlänken – Korsvägen Project. We are looking for someone with solid experience in building construction, design management, and construction management who thrives working on large projects where coordination, quality, and safety are the focus. As Design Coordinator and Construction Manager for Buildings, you are responsible for creating the best possible conditions for safe, efficient, and high-quality construction. You will drive the design of the station's building components, coordinate various stakeholders, and serve as important support to the project management throughout the project's execution. You will primarily work within Korsvägen Project in Västlänken, but may also support other projects within Västlänken and Olskroken Project as needed. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: Lead and coordinate design work within building construction. Create conditions for safe and efficient project execution. Manage and monitor technical consultants' work regarding schedule, cost, quality, and scope. Coordinate project stakeholders, including Gothenburg City and Västtrafik. Provide support to project management on design matters. Plan and lead design meetings. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, legal requirements, and occupational safety requirements. Work actively with risk management and preventive measures. Collaborate with installation coordinators, architects, and other technical disciplines. Review building documents and technical drawings. Participate in environmental and occupational health rounds. Handle contractor deviations and change order work. Ensure quality and control documentation is prepared. Follow up on contractor schedules and deliveries. Verify permits, such as execution plans and building permits. Review invoices and monitor contract costs. Document inspections and participate in final inspections. We are Looking for Someone With Mandatory Qualifications At least 4 years of experience as a design manager or equivalent role in building construction. At least 4 years of experience as a construction manager or equivalent role in building construction. At least 4 years of experience constructing public facilities in the role of design manager, construction manager, or equivalent position. At least 2 years of experience from major building construction projects with contract values exceeding 300 million kronor. At least 1 year of experience from projects in metropolitan environments. Experience from both traditional contracting and turnkey contracting. Experience from at least three assignments with strong knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and experience with regulatory processes and permit management, equivalent competency for Control Manager (KA). Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Class B driver's license.
