Your Workplace
Markaryd Municipality's Street/Park Unit consists of a unit manager, technical handler, two street workers, eight park workers, a lighting technician (40%), and a street/design engineer.
Your Responsibilities
Plan and prioritize sustainable maintenance initiatives for streets and roads. Develop and follow up long-term investment plans. Work with status assessments and needs-driven planning. Project manage investment and maintenance projects. Contribute to energy efficiency within street lighting. Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal operations. Participate in budgeting and contribute to sustainable financial planning. Together with the unit manager, supervise street and park workers.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- post-secondary education with technical focus such as road and water engineering or other education/experience that we consider equivalent.
- experience working with street maintenance, other groundwork, or technical administration.
- knowledge of asphalt, lighting, and/or stormwater management.
- good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Class B driver's license.
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you have:
- interest in sustainable development within infrastructure.
- leadership training or similar.
- experience working in a politically governed organization.
