About the Position We are now seeking a project economist for the finance department at one of Stockholm's academic institutions. The department supports the institutions in managing grant-funded projects. The role also involves work with financial management within one or more of the institution's departments. The position encompasses the following responsibilities: - Ongoing bookkeeping. - Year-end closing work. - Requisition processing. - Reporting to funding bodies. - Project administration. - Work with project budgeting. - Monitoring and forecasting related to these. - Work with budget and forecast for one or more departments at the institution. - Close collaboration with project managers and department heads within a department. Assignment Period and Scope: The position of Project Economist is a full-time consulting assignment starting immediately and is expected to run for 8 months. There is a possibility of potential extension. Requirements for the Position: • Relevant education corresponding to the assignment or at least 3 years of work experience that the authority considers equivalent. • Experience working with accounting and monitoring. • Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written. • Excellent knowledge of the Office package. • Experience with business systems (for example Agresso, SAP or similar). • Ability to provide two (2) reference assignments completed in the last three years (since August 2023) with a detailed narrative assignment description and current contact information for the references. Meritorious for the Position: - Experience independently working with accounting, year-end closing, and reporting of grant-funded projects. - Experience working in Agresso. - Experience with similar tasks from an academic institution or another research-intensive organization or authority. - Experience working with budget and forecast. - Experience supporting a management function in financial matters.
