As a project economist with our client, you will have a varied day-to-day where you work with everything from bookkeeping, financial statements and requisitioning to project budgeting, reporting, monitoring and forecasting. About the Position We at Perido are now seeking a careful and responsible project economist for an exciting and developing position at a public authority, a Swedish upper secondary school located in central Stockholm. You will support the institutions in managing grant-financed projects. The position also involves financial management within one or more of the school's institutions. You will primarily work on-site at the office together with colleagues in the organization and with the finance department. The work includes tasks such as: ongoing bookkeeping financial statement work requisitioning reporting to funders project administration work with project budgeting monitoring and forecasting related to these work with budget and forecast for one or more institutions at the school close collaboration with project managers and department heads within an institution Your Qualities To thrive and succeed as a project economist, you are careful, structured and take responsibility. You have an analytical approach and an eye for detail, while at the same time being able to see the big picture and understand the organization's needs. Since the role involves close collaboration with project managers, department heads and the finance department, you are communicative, unpretentious and confident in taking your own initiatives. Qualifications: Relevant education corresponding to the assignment or at least 3 years of work experience that the authority considers equivalent Experience working with accounting and monitoring Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written. Both languages are required in daily work. Good knowledge of the Office package Experience with business systems (e.g. Agresso, SAP or similar) Can provide two reference assignments where you have performed similar work tasks within the same area as the current assignment, completed during the past three years (from August 2023 onwards), or alternatively one continuous assignment that has run throughout the requested three-year period. Meritorious: Experience independently working with accounting, financial statements and reporting of grant-financed projects Experience working in Agresso Experience with similar work tasks from an educational institution or other research-intensive organization or public authority Experience working with budget and forecast Experience supporting a management function in financial matters Scope and Start Date Full-time, consulting assignment for 8 months.
