About the position We at Perido are now seeking a thorough and responsible project economist for an exciting and developing position at a government agency, a Swedish upper secondary school located in central Stockholm. You will support the institutions in managing grant-financed projects. The position also involves financial management within one or more of the school's institutions. You will primarily work on-site in the office together with colleagues in the organization and with the finance department. The work includes tasks such as: ongoing bookkeeping financial statement work requisitions reporting to the financer project administration work with project budgeting follow-up and forecasting related to these work with budget and forecast for one or more institutions at the school close collaboration with project managers and department heads within an institution Your qualities To thrive and succeed as a project economist, you are thorough, structured and take responsibility. You have an analytical approach and an eye for detail, while at the same time you can see the bigger picture and understand the organization's needs. Since the role involves close collaboration with project managers, department heads and the finance department, you are communicative, unpretentious and confident in taking your own initiative. Qualifications: Relevant education corresponding to the assignment or at least 3 years of work experience that the agency deems equivalent Experience working with accounting and follow-up Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written. Both languages are required in daily work. Good knowledge of the Office package Experience with business systems (e.g. Agresso, SAP or similar) Can provide two reference assignments where you have performed similar work tasks within the same area as the current assignment, completed during the past three years (from August 2023 onwards), or alternatively a continuous assignment that has lasted throughout the requested three-year period. Meritorious: Experience independently working with accounting, financial statements and reporting of grant-financed projects Experience working in Agresso Experience with similar work tasks from an educational institution or other research-intensive organization or government agency Experience working with budget and forecast Experience supporting a management function in financial matters Scope and start date Full-time, consulting assignment for 8 months.
