We are responsible for, among other things, development and management of the city's land, development of residential and business areas, and the city's investments in streets and parks in development projects. Our Finance Department currently consists of 19 committed employees, divided into two units, the Project Unit and the Operations Unit. This position is part of the Project Unit, which primarily works with investment activities. The Finance Department plays a central role in our operations with responsibility for budget, financial statements, forecasting, and reporting processes. The department also assists the operations with other financial expertise such as calculation and investment matters. In addition, the department is responsible for overall financial analysis, monitoring and reporting, as well as principles and regulations for accounting and VAT. Read more about Stockholm's benefits: https://jobba.stockholm/formaner In your role as Project Controller with us, you function as an important link between the operations and the office's central Finance Department, where you work closely with our core business - our project departments. As a Project Controller, you primarily work with financial monitoring and review of calculations as well as decision-making materials regarding investment projects within a specific geographic unit portfolio. This is done in close collaboration with the projects' construction and project managers, unit managers, and other employees within the Project Unit of the Finance Department to ensure correct accounting, calculations, forecasts, and schedules. Furthermore, you are involved in the entire project process, from investigation to completion and activation of the project. In this role, you also provide support and advice on financial matters to unit managers and project managers. You will also have the opportunity to work with and contribute to our development work within the Finance Department. Your work tasks also include conveying financial information in an educational manner, which includes: • analyses, monitoring, and financial reporting of investment projects • review of calculations • materials for operational plans and budget monitoring • financial statement work • other relevant financial administration. You will also work closely with other economists in the Finance Department as well as with the City Administration Office, Stockholm's central administrative office. The Development Office works with the financial system Agresso as well as Hypergene; which is a planning tool for budget and forecasting. In this role, you report to the unit manager for the Project Unit within the Finance Department. Your expertise and experience For the role of Project Controller, we are looking for someone who has: • a degree in business economics from a college or university • worked as an economist for at least five years • experience working with investment projects • knowledge of accounting • good ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally in Swedish • very good knowledge of the Office suite, primarily Excel. Meritorious: • experience with investment accounting • worked in Agresso • experience driving development and improvement projects.
