BECOME PART OF OUR ENGAGED TEAM The Project Accounting department is now seeking a project controller. A large part of BAE Systems Bofors' operations is conducted through extensive projects that run over several years. This means that business and financial management are central to project execution and gives you a role with both breadth, complexity, and the opportunity to make an impact. You will work closely with the project manager and project team and be responsible for the project's financial management. The role is not just about following up on what has already happened. An important part is looking ahead, analyzing developments, and creating understanding for what economic consequences different choices may have for the project and the business. You will also be involved early in the business. Already during the quotation phase, you will work with calculations and financial documentation and contribute to creating a solid foundation for upcoming projects. You will then follow the project through its entire lifecycle and become an important financial partner in both ongoing management and major decisions along the way. HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL WORK WITH As a project controller, you will, among other things: be the project manager's financial partner and contribute to the project reaching its financial goals analyze costs, deviations, risks, and financial consequences work with budgets, forecasts, and ongoing financial management follow up and report the project's financial status to project and steering groups prepare calculations and financial decision-making documentation in connection with quotations contribute with an economic and business perspective in different phases of projects ensure that financial processes comply with the company's policies and guidelines where needed, contribute financial expertise in contract negotiations handle internal and external financial audits. This is a role for you who likes to understand why the numbers look the way they do, but above all what they mean for the project and business going forward. You will familiarize yourself with the operations, the projects, and the technology behind them and become an important part of the project team's collective delivery. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for you who have a university degree in economics and a few years of relevant work experience. You have a good understanding of finance and are accustomed to working with analysis, follow-up, and financial relationships. To succeed in this role, we especially see that you have: a good understanding of costs and what drives them very good knowledge of Excel and are comfortable working with large amounts of financial information very good knowledge of Swedish and English, as English is the group language. Experience in business controlling, project controlling, calculation, or financial management in a project or industrial operation is a merit.
