Project Department Region Uppsala is characterized by strong growth, and the Property and Service department is an important part of this. We in Property and Service generate revenue of over one billion kronor and have approximately 400 employees. We develop, manage, and maintain a floor area of over 700,000 square meters, from new advanced healthcare buildings to medieval castles. We also handle transportation and work with logistics solutions within Region Uppsala, as well as being responsible for meal services for hospitalized patients. Most of our customers are in healthcare, with Akademiska sjukhuset (Academic Hospital) being our largest customer. Our Operations Region Uppsala's Property and Service has an important role in the region's development. We develop, build, and manage hospitals, health centers, vehicle depots, and other socially critical properties. We are in an expansion phase with projects such as a tram depot for Uppsala's new tram line, new production kitchens, campus facilities, and extensions and additions to meet Akademiska sjukhuset's needs. In our future project portfolio are new health centers, additional vehicle depots, and continued development of Akademiska sjukhuset. Our customers are primarily other departments within Region Uppsala. Your Assignment In this role, you will lead complex construction projects that contribute to future healthcare. You have experience with hospital buildings or other business-critical environments where high demands are placed on coordination, safety, and adaptation to ongoing operations. The Project Department leads real estate investment projects in close collaboration with other departments and our customers. You drive multiple projects from pre-study to final inspection and are responsible for quality, budget, and schedule. The role includes budget management, forecasts, reporting, decision-making materials, and collaboration with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and authorities. As project manager, you are the building owner's representative and are responsible for managing workplace safety issues throughout the project. You also contribute to the development of the department's working methods, processes, and routines. The role does not include management responsibilities. Your Qualifications and Competencies You have a university degree or higher education in a relevant field and several years of experience in construction and real estate or infrastructure. We are looking for someone with experience leading large, complex projects in hospital environments or other installation-intensive construction projects. The role also requires good knowledge of building codes and contractor law. You are unpretentious, receptive, and relationship-building, with a structured approach and good communication skills.
