Work Tasks
In this position, you will work on developing high-quality innovative teaching materials in mathematics for civil engineering students with and without disabilities together with a project manager mathematics teacher as part of the project "Interactive Maths Videos 4 All". The project is part of the larger five-year project Higher Education and Digitalisation (HEaD) which has the overarching aim of strengthening Mittuniversitetet's position in technology-supported and lifelong learning.
The goal of the sub-project is to produce examples of interactive and inclusive online lectures for a mathematics course at basic level in Mittuniversitetet's civil engineering programs. The course is offered as a campus course using a flipped classroom model, but the developed material will also be included in hybrid or distance courses for other programs.
Your Background
We are looking for someone who has a university degree in a mathematical, technical, or natural science subject as well as teaching and research experience. You should have taught at the university level in a mathematical/natural science subject and have good knowledge of how students with disabilities are supported in such subjects.
Your Qualities
In this position, you will work on developing teaching materials together with a project manager mathematics teacher. Good collaboration skills are therefore important, but also the ability to work independently to meet a deadline.
It is important that you enjoy the mathematics subject and have a desire to get civil engineering students to appreciate the subject and succeed in it.
As a person you are thorough in your daily work and particularly in your writing, and you fully understand the precision required to design a clear and coherent mathematics lecture that can be included as part of high-quality teaching material.
Employment and Start Date
The position is a fixed-term appointment 20% of full-time from October 12, 2026 or by agreement / but no later than October 11, 2027.
