STATE MEDICINES AGENCY announces an open competition for a vacant position – Project Management and Information Technology Department project manager (employee position for an indefinite period) Position objective: To ensure the implementation and maintenance framework of ISO IDMP standards in the Agency's information system (ZVAIS), based on European Medicines Agency guidelines, as well as to coordinate and manage the implementation of activities in the project "EU4H-2026-JA-SANTE-IBA-UNIWIDE". Profession code: 242201 Main responsibilities: coordinate the identification, definition, and analysis of business process changes and service development requirements of the State Medicines Agency information system (ZVAIS) for EU IDMP implementation needs; plan and manage the progress of the EU IDMP implementation project, prepare project documentation and proposals for project improvement; ensure project implementation in accordance with established deadlines, budget, quality requirements, and deliverables; coordinate cooperation with service providers, project partners, stakeholder groups, and representatives of European medicines agencies; prepare and present reports on project progress, achieved results, risks, and upcoming tasks; monitor European project opportunities, provide recommendations for the Agency's participation in them, and promote the implementation of innovative solutions; represent the Agency's position at meetings of Latvian and international organizations, as delegated by the Agency. Requirements for candidates: higher education in project management, computer science, or business administration; at least 3 years of practical work experience in information systems development, implementation, and/or maintenance projects; understanding of information systems development and implementation processes, requirements analysis, solution development, and integration within the organizational environment; knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union in the field of project implementation, state information systems, and public procurement; desirable knowledge of ISO IDMP standards, data management, and data quality principles; language proficiency: Latvian language – advanced level 1st degree (C1), English language – upper-intermediate level 2nd degree (B2) for communication orally and in writing with project partners abroad; ability to analyze complex situations, make independent decisions, and work under high-intensity conditions. The position is set at level III of subsection 21.4 "Information Systems Development" and salary group 11, monthly salary from EUR 1,827 to EUR 2,811 before tax deduction (depending on qualification and competency assessment).
