It ensures the maintenance, design, and organization of construction of transport infrastructure facilities, supervision, coordination, and control of the city's public transport services and passenger commercial transport, resolution and coordination of traffic organization and traffic safety matters, maintenance and development of the city's public transport system, development of system improvement concepts, attraction of investments for the realization of approved concepts, organization of operation, repair work, and decorative lighting management of Riga City Municipality's outdoor lighting network, maintenance and management of street lighting, traffic lights and street clocks, technical operation and maintenance of mechanisms, ensuring the upkeep of territories belonging to or owned by the municipality, restoration of facilities in municipal ownership and public use, and implementation of territory improvement projects. We invite experienced project managers to join our team who wish to participate in the implementation of Riga's most significant transport infrastructure and urban environment development projects. We will entrust you with Planning, managing, and implementing strategic development projects for transport infrastructure and territory improvement. Coordinating the construction process (design and construction work) of strategic development projects. Developing procurement task specifications and technical specifications for strategic development projects, as well as participating in the work of procurement commissions. Ensuring control and supervision of the construction process of strategic development projects, including design and construction work. Evaluating documentation of strategic development projects. Planning and controlling activities, deadlines, resources, and budgets of strategic development projects, as well as managing risks related to project implementation. Conducting technical and procedural evaluation of particularly complex or strategically significant projects, providing recommendations for improving project implementation. Providing methodological support and consulting with the department's project managers and project coordinators, sharing professional experience, and promoting a unified project management approach within the department. We expect Higher education in engineering sciences (preferably in transport construction), project management, management science, or a field relevant to the performance of the position's duties. Upper-level state language proficiency. Preferably additional professional qualification in project management, construction project management, or construction supervision. At least 3 years of professional work experience in project management. Experience in the implementation of high-complexity and/or large-scale construction projects; preferably experience in state administration. Experience in document management matters. Good computer and information technology skills for working with AutoCAD, MS Office standard applications, web browsers, as well as the ability to learn and use other programs necessary for performing the duties of the position.
