We are building some of Europe's most ambitious data center campuses in Sweden – and now we are looking for three Project Managers who want to take responsibility for projects where investments are counted in billions, technology is cutting-edge, and every decision impacts how future digital infrastructure is built. We are seeking two Project Managers for Borlänge and one for Smedjebacken. This is an opportunity to step into a company in a unique growth phase. You won't just lead large construction and infrastructure projects – you will be part of shaping how EcoDataCenter grows for many years to come. About the Role As a Project Manager, you are responsible for leading data center projects with investments in the billions from early preparation and design through to a completed production facility. You own the project's delivery in terms of schedule, cost, quality, work environment, and risk, and ensure that many parallel activities move forward at the right pace. The projects you lead form the foundation for future customer establishments and campus expansions – delays or incorrect decisions have a direct impact on investments, customer commitments, and the company's continued growth. The focus of the role lies in the execution phase – approximately 75% of your time involves operationally leading the construction project, while the remaining time is divided between design and procurement. A typical week includes supplier meetings to review progress in schedule, budget, and quality, design meetings, internal project coordination, and managing customer visits and internal stakeholders. You also lead the internal project team and participate in ongoing business development. A large part of the role involves leading through others. You own the whole picture but work with a team of specialists in design, procurement, HSE, finance, and production. This places high demands on your ability to find the right level of control and decision-making – to direct and follow up without getting into every detail, and to know when you need to seek help from the right expertise. The projects are characterized by high technical complexity, many stakeholders, and long time horizons. You navigate daily between demands from customers, investors, and the CTO – three stakeholders with different perspectives and priorities – while maintaining focus on the project's overall goals and creating momentum even when conditions change. As the business grows, you also contribute to developing work methods, processes, and organization – this is as much an opportunity to build projects as it is to be part of building EcoDataCenter. Your Main Responsibilities · Lead data center projects through the entire project lifecycle · Own the project's delivery in terms of schedule, cost, quality, work environment, and risk · Coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal specialist functions · Drive procurements, contract matters, and resource planning · Ensure progress and manage risks, changes, and dependencies · Follow up on budget, forecasts, and reporting · Build and lead project teams and drive decision-making processes · Ensure projects are executed according to EcoDataCenter's requirements and standards · Contribute to the development of work methods and project management as the company expands Who Are You? You have experience leading large construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects and thrive in environments where many stakeholders, technical disciplines, and dependencies must be managed in parallel. You are comfortable taking responsibility for the whole picture and have experience driving projects from early stages to completed delivery. You understand the connections between technology, finance, schedule, and risk, and are confident making decisions even when conditions change. You create order in complexity, communicate clearly, and ensure that people work toward the same goals. You are humble about the fact that you can't do everything yourself and have self-awareness about when you need help from the right expertise. You find the right level of control and decision-making and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where not everything is predefined from the start. You don't need to have worked in data centers before – but you do need experience from projects where technical complexity, large investments, and many parallel dependencies are part of daily work. Qualifications · Experience leading large construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects · Experience in project management covering schedule, cost, quality, and risk · Good understanding of contract forms, contracts, and project finance · Experience leading and coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders · Post-secondary education in building technology, infrastructure development, industrial economics, project management, or equivalent experience · Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written · Good system and IT proficiency Meriting Factors · Experience from industrial establishments or major infrastructure projects · Experience from the client side · Experience from data centers or other technically complex operations · Local network in Dalarna Other Information You report to the Project Director for the respective site.
