Axel Johnson International is now seeking a Project Manager M&A & Strategy for the Transport Solutions business area based in Gothenburg. Transport Solutions has annual revenues of approximately 3 billion SEK, operates in 12 countries and consists of around twenty companies within load securing, vehicle components and marine solutions. Acquisitions are a central part of the business strategy, and the ambition is to implement a large number of international acquisitions in the coming years. This role is suitable for you if you currently work in audit, business controlling, M&A analysis or Transaction Services and want to broaden your expertise in business acquisitions, strategy and project management. Here you will have the opportunity to work with the entire acquisition process – from analysis and screening to due diligence, prepare board materials and work with integration – while gaining insight into management and strategic work at an international level. You report directly to the business area manager and work closely with the management team in Gothenburg and Axel Johnson International's central M&A function in Stockholm. ResponsibilitiesIn your role as Project Manager M&A & Strategy you will: Project lead and coordinate acquisition processes from company identification to completed acquisition and integration Conduct financial analyses, company valuations and simplified financial due diligence Compile decision-making materials, investment reports and board materials Manage and coordinate documentation such as NDA, LOI, SPA and other contract processes Collaborate with external advisors in legal, financial, commercial and sustainability-related due diligence Identify and analyze potential acquisition targets, markets and competitors internationally Participate in strategy work and business development initiatives for Transport Solutions and its business areas Support management and board work, and where appropriate participate in board meetings in subsidiaries Contribute to the development of methods, processes and tools that strengthen acquisition work The position involves international travel, typically 2–3 days every other week and periodically more intensive periods. Who are you?We would like you to have a degree as a Certified Public Accountant or equivalent academic qualification and several years of experience from audit, controlling, transaction services or M&A-related work. You have built a strong financial foundation and are now curious to develop further in a business-oriented role where analysis is combined with project management, strategy and international business acquisitions. You need to have good understanding of income statements and balance sheets as well as financial analysis, experience in preparing and presenting reports and decision-making materials. If you have experience with due diligence processes, that is a merit. Furthermore, you need to have very good skills in Excel and PowerPoint and be fluent in Swedish and English. As a person you need to be business-oriented and curious about companies and industrial operations, structured and skilled at driving multiple parallel projects forward. You will have many external contacts with company leaders, owners, etc., so good communication skills are important. You need to be unpretentious and enjoy working in a small team.
