Treatment programs are conducted with high quality and according to evidence-based practice principles. They are primarily based on cognitive behavioral therapy. There are both broad-based programs and more specialized programs for specific target groups, where you will have the opportunity to conduct several different programs over time. In the probation service, programs are delivered individually, and the goal of treatment is to provide each person with the best possible support to reduce the risk of reoffending. As a program leader, you will have a meaningful and developmental role where you work closely with people in transition. You combine support and structure in client-focused treatment conversations, with a helpful and supportive work team behind you. Today we have a total of 65 colleagues at the Probation Service in Borås, of whom 10 colleagues work as program leaders. Take the opportunity to become part of an operation where your work makes a difference for people. The role also includes close collaboration with the probation officers who handle the case, so that the treatment program is integrated with other measures taken during the client's sentence. The position also includes administrative tasks. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has good self-insight. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and adapt your way of communicating according to the recipient's circumstances. In your professional practice, you must have good judgment and integrity. As a program leader, you need to have good collaboration skills and be able to communicate clearly. The role requires that you are self-driven and have the ability to work in a structured manner. You must also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires it. We are looking for someone who has: An academic degree (at least bachelor's level), preferably in behavioral science, law, social work, or social science, or alternatively another academic education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant Experience of client-focused treatment work Good knowledge of using the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is also meritorious to have: The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's Program Leader Training Education with treatment focus that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant Experience of working with evidence-based treatment methods, with a focus on CBT Well-documented work experience within the prison service, social care, psychiatry, or health and care work.
