About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more staff. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand facilities, and prisoner transportation.
The Luleå operational area is the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's northernmost region and includes the Luleå and Haparanda facilities as well as Luleå Remand Facility. The largest professional group is correctional officers, but this location also employs healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production managers, and others. At the facilities, inmates participate in education, various treatment programs, or work in the facilities' production operations. To reach Luleå facility or remand facility, you can easily use public transportation, and if you drive, you can park in our staff parking lot. Haparanda Facility is a five-minute walk from Haparanda station.
We are now seeking a Program Manager for Haparanda Facility!
Job Description
As a Program Manager, you will be part of a team working with clients in the facility. As an important part of the work to prevent recidivism, Program Managers conduct extensive program activities for clients under supervision, both in group and individual settings.
Treatment programs are carried out with high quality and according to evidence-based practice principles. They are primarily based on cognitive behavioral therapy and social learning theory. We use programs addressing criminality, violence, substance abuse, and sexual and relationship violence. The assignment is carried out by a highly committed Program Team with specialized program management expertise. The diverse program offering means that you will simultaneously lead several different programs, primarily in group settings at the facility.
As a Program Manager, the role involves conducting programs as well as some administrative work. You are expected to complete the program management training that is part of the assignment and the Probation Service's basic training. It is important to actively work toward good collaboration both with other program managers and with other colleagues at facilities and probation services.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has self-awareness. You have the ability to communicate clearly and find it easy to collaborate with others. In stressful situations, you remain calm and have the ability to make correct assessments and prioritize. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages based on the recipient's circumstances. You must also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires it.

We are looking for someone who has:
Academic education with a behavioral science focus or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant
Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
Category B driver's license
It is also meritorious to have:
Post-secondary education in behavioral science
Approved basic training within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
Other education with a treatment focus that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant
Client-facing correctional work experience
Other client-facing work experience in healthcare, treatment, or social work
Relevant language skills
