About the Role As a product development engineer/designer at Combi Wear Parts, you'll have a varied and developing role where you work broadly within design, planning, and product development. You'll follow products through their entire lifecycle – from idea and design to industrialization and follow-up in production and the field. You'll work with new designs and further development of the company's steel wear parts, with a focus on creating robust and sustainable solutions for demanding environments. The role also includes casting simulation, technical planning, and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure high quality and efficient production. An important part of the work is staying close to production and actively participating in troubleshooting and improvement work. You collaborate with colleagues in engineering, quality, and production, as well as maintaining contact with external suppliers and toolmakers. The role also includes some technical support to the sales organization. You'll be part of a small, skilled engineering team with both junior and more experienced colleagues, where knowledge sharing and collaboration are central. The organization is flat, giving you good opportunities to influence decisions and quickly see the results of your work. There are approximately 30 salaried employees and 50-60 hourly employees in the organization – giving you the opportunity to build a broad and valuable network internally. Your Profile We're looking for a curious and solution-oriented engineer with a genuine interest in engineering, production, and product development. You thrive in a role where you combine theoretical thinking with practical work and have a desire to understand how products function in reality. You can manage multiple parallel tasks without losing focus and are driven by solving problems and improving existing solutions. Requirements: You have a post-secondary education in, for example, mechanical engineering, materials science, CAD design, or equivalent, or you've acquired equivalent experience through work. Several years of experience in design and with CAD software Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written B-class driver's license Meritorious: Similar experience from manufacturing industry, particularly within steel, foundries, or process industry Knowledge of CREO, PDM Link, Monitors project module About Combi Wear Parts Combi Wear Parts is a Swedish industrial company that develops, manufactures, and sells steel wear parts for construction, mining, and dredging industries.
