Food Product Developer at Mixum Motala | Full-time | On-site Are you an experienced food product developer who has a strong grasp of flavor and enjoys working close to production? Do you like taking an idea all the way – from recipe and test kitchen to trial runs in the factory and finished product? Then this might be the role for you! At Mixum, you'll have a central role in product development and become an important link between development and production. You'll have significant responsibility, drive development projects forward, and work closely with both people and products. About the role As a product developer at Mixum, you'll drive product development from idea to finished product. You'll develop new products and further develop the existing product range based on customer needs, quality, taste, production, and applicable requirements. You'll work closely with colleagues in areas such as production, quality, purchasing, and sales, and you'll also collaborate with other group companies on joint development projects. This is a role for someone who wants to be involved in the entire process – from recipe and test kitchen to trial runs and large-scale production. Your main responsibilities Lead and coordinate product development meetings and activities across different functions. Be the link between product development and production. Plan, conduct, and follow up on trial runs in the factory. Work practically in the test kitchen and turn ideas into concrete products. Ensure the right level of taste, quality, function, and production efficiency. Identify opportunities for improvement and drive development initiatives. Ensure that products are developed based on customer needs, company goals, and applicable regulations. Drive product development projects from idea to finished product. We believe you are a person who… You have several years of experience in product development within the food industry and are confident in independently driving development work. You don't need to have all the answers from the start, but you're used to taking responsibility, bringing together the right people, and making sure things happen. We'd like to see that you: Have experience in food production and a good understanding of industrial processes. Have a good palate and well-developed sensory skills. Have experience in developing and adjusting recipes. Enjoy practical work in the test kitchen. Have experience with trial runs and implementing products in production. Have good leadership skills and are comfortable leading cross-functional teams and meetings. Are responsible, organized, and experienced in driving projects from start to finish. Are a natural coordinator who gets different parts of the organization to work toward the same goal. Are unpretentious and enjoy switching between practical work and coordinating tasks. Have a high school diploma. Post-secondary education in areas such as food science or product development is a plus, but relevant work experience can be equally valuable. Most importantly, you are experienced, curious, and confident in your expertise – and you have a feel for both the product and production.
