About the position
In this role, you will become an important part of FMV's verification and validation (VoV) activities and contribute to ensuring that equipment and capabilities meet the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements. You are responsible for the system lifecycle within the IT, electrical, and communication systems function – from planning and development to operations and maintenance – and work closely with project teams, internal customers, and external suppliers.
You will plan, lead, and develop technical systems and measurement capabilities used in test operations, with responsibility for ensuring deliveries are completed according to schedule, budget, and quality requirements. The role also includes financial responsibility, procurement, and analysis and decision support for investments and development projects. At the same time, you will follow technical developments in the field and contribute to advancing the test facility's measurement and technical capabilities.
The position is based at the test facility in Karlsborg, where you will become part of an operation with advanced technology and a central role in developing future defense capabilities. Domestic travel is a natural part of the position.
About you
We are looking for someone with a relevant IT-focused university education or equivalent competence acquired in other ways that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of professional experience in data, electronics, and/or communication technology. The position requires a Class B driver's license and a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.
It is advantageous if you have experience leading projects with project staff or other relevant management roles, as well as experience working with project planning tools such as MS Project or similar systems. We also view favorably experience with fiber optics, radio communications, and/or experience working with the Swedish Armed Forces' communication systems. Experience with public procurement or IT accreditation is also a plus. If you have project management training or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways, that will also be an advantage in this role.
