About the Position
Sweden's power system is undergoing extensive transformation. Energy transition, increased market integration, growing renewable electricity production, and developments in the European electricity market are creating new demands on grid operations. To meet these challenges, increased automation and modern IT solutions and decision support systems for planning, forecasting, and control are required.
We are now recruiting two product owners. In this role, you will work as a product owner/product lead in the Operations department, within either the Grid Operations or Operational Planning management domain, focusing on products related to the control room and control room-adjacent functions.
Role Purpose
This role is responsible for capturing, analyzing, defining requirements, and prioritizing the business needs for IT and decision support systems linked to managed products within Grid Operations, Operational Planning, and control room operations. You are responsible for ensuring that products are developed sustainably and appropriately in line with business needs, target architecture, security requirements, and maintainability standards.
The role has a clear business focus and involves close collaboration with process leaders, business specialists, business architects, other product owners/leads, the operations organization, and the IT division.
Responsibilities and Tasks
As a product owner/product lead, you are responsible for:
Collecting, analyzing, and prioritizing business needs and improvement suggestions in close dialogue with users, business specialists, and process leaders
Ensuring that products are designed to support business processes and critical business capabilities
Translating needs into requirements for IT and decision support development
Maintaining and communicating the product's development plan
Ensuring that products are developed in line with IT architecture, security, and maintainability requirements
Collaborating with operations management on product design, prioritization, and development
Maintaining close dialogue with business architects and other product owners/leads to contribute to a harmonized product portfolio
Developing decision-making materials and contributing to strategic choices related to product development and operations
Communicating status, strategic choices, risks, dependencies, and deviations to operations management and process leaders
Following up on deliveries, benefits, and achieved outcomes
Ensuring that relevant documentation, training materials, and other product-related materials are kept up to date
Monitoring developments in relevant areas for the product

Education:
You have a civil engineering degree in a relevant field or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent.
You also have:
Good operational knowledge of power systems and electricity grid operations
Experience with SCADA systems, EMS, or equivalent mission-critical IT/OT support
Experience working at the intersection of business operations and IT
Several years of experience with needs assessment, requirements definition, or requirements analysis
Experience with product ownership, product management, or other equivalent roles with responsibility for business-focused development and prioritization
Strong ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
Meritorious Qualifications:
Degree in engineering physics, energy engineering, or electrical engineering
Several years of experience working in the energy sector
Experience with control room operations or products supporting operational management
Experience working with products in managed service models or similar management and development frameworks
Experience with development planning or product portfolio management
Experience with agile methodologies, such as SAFe or similar, in a business-focused context
Good to Know:
The position is based in Sundbyberg.
Remote work is possible up to 50%, depending on work requirements.
