About the Role As production technical manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the work within production technology and production development at the factory in Stora Sundby. You lead a team of approximately 11 employees and work closely with production, test technology, quality, and other central functions. An important part of the assignment is to develop both the team and production processes with a focus on increased capacity, automation, digitalization, and efficiency. Westermo has a clear ambition to continue development toward a smart factory. You will have a central role in that journey and need to have a genuine interest in modern technology and how new solutions can be translated into concrete benefits in production. Examples of responsibility areas: Lead and develop the team within production technology and production development Drive development and improvement of production processes Drive initiatives within automation, digitalization, and new technology Ensure adequate capacity and technical conditions in line with increased demand Participate in business planning and work with KPIs, budgets, and follow-up Industrialize new products in close collaboration with R&D Contribute to global projects and development toward a smart factory Who We Are Looking For We are seeking an experienced leader in production or production technology who is driven by developing both people and technology. You have a genuine interest in modern production technology and want to be part of driving development within automation, digitalization, and smart factories. At the same time, you are a present leader who is interested in your employees and creates results together with others. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Experience in leadership roles in production, production technology, or industrial development Experience with personnel responsibility and developing teams Good understanding of industrial manufacturing processes Experience with and a clear interest in automation, digitalization, and modern production technology Academic education in engineering or equivalent experience Experience with budgets, KPI monitoring, and business development Very good skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written Meritorious is experience from electronics production, EMS, or complex manufacturing industry As a person, you are unpretentious, attentive, and collaboration-oriented. You are confident in your leadership without needing to be the center of attention and have a genuine interest in people. You drive your matters forward but are at the same time receptive to other perspectives and respect joint decisions and direction.
