A video if you want to know more about Lumibird's operations in Gothenburg: Lumibird Photonics Sweden About the Job As a Production Technician, you play a central role in developing, improving, and ensuring efficient manufacturing and testing processes in electronics production. You work closely with operators, quality, production, and R&D to create robust processes that contribute to high quality, delivery reliability, and efficiency in operations. The role combines operational support to production with long-term development work where you are responsible for developing and implementing methods, processes, and procedures for both existing and future products. You analyze deviations and ensure that production has the right conditions to meet the company's requirements for quality and performance. As a natural bridge between production and development, you also participate in the industrialization of new products and contribute technical expertise in implementing new processes. The role involves close collaboration with multiple departments where you have the opportunity to influence and develop operations through continuous improvements and a structured approach. Your main areas of responsibility include: Develop and implement manufacturing and testing methods for new and existing products Create, update, and maintain work instructions, process descriptions, and technical documentation Analyze deviations, conduct root cause analyses, and initiate corrective actions Provide technical support to production and solve production-related problems Ensure implementation of new methods, processes, and techniques in production Participate in improvement projects and the development of a Lean-oriented production environment Your Profile You have a genuine interest in technology, production, and improvement work, and thrive in a role where you can combine analysis, problem-solving, practical implementation, and documentation. You are motivated by developing processes and procedures that contribute to improving operations. We are looking for someone with experience in the manufacturing industry who is accustomed to working closely with production. You have a good understanding of manufacturing flows, process development, documentation, and compliance. To succeed in this role, we believe you are a communicative and solution-oriented person with a structured approach to work. You collaborate easily with different departments while taking personal responsibility and driving your tasks forward. Furthermore, you are analytical and comfortable working close to operations where quick decisions and effective solutions make a difference in everyday work. We believe you have Experience with electronics assembly and associated manufacturing processes Experience with electrical testing and test methods A good understanding of manufacturing flows and practical production Experience in methodology development, process development, and continuous improvement Excellent documentation practices and experience writing instructions and process descriptions Very good Swedish and English language skills, both spoken and written It is advantageous if you have relevant higher education in, for example, production engineering, electronics, or mechatronics. Having experience with optical testing or optical systems is highly desirable. Experience with IPC standards is also a plus. Previous work in defense, aerospace, medical technology, or other regulated industries is considered an advantage, as is experience with Lean Manufacturing, industrialization, and introduction of new products in production. The position requires that you are screened and approved according to current security classification requirements.
