Join us in shaping the production of the future! We are now looking for a Production Technician who wants to help develop the production of the future at Kalmar Motor. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to combine technology, problem-solving, and continuous improvement work to create efficient, sustainable, and quality-assured production processes. You will become a key person in the operation with many contact points and will work closely with production, quality, design, procurement, and maintenance to turn ideas into concrete improvements. As a Production Technician, you will work both strategically and operatively to develop production flows, optimize work methods, and create conditions for efficient and trouble-free production. You will analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive development initiatives that strengthen productivity, quality, and working environment. The role also involves close collaboration with production, where you serve as technical support for both daily challenges and larger change projects. Your main responsibilities include driving improvement projects, developing production flows and standardized work methods, and ensuring that work instructions and processes maintain high quality. You will also participate in quality work and root cause analyses, support the operation with technical challenges, and play an important role in investments, layout changes, and the implementation of new equipment and production solutions. The position is based in Kalmar and you will report to the Production Manager. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a higher education degree in production engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience. You have experience from manufacturing industry and feel confident working with production processes, flow development, and continuous improvement. You have good knowledge of Lean and are accustomed to working systematically with methods for continuous improvement. Experience with ERP/MPS systems is important, and if you also have knowledge in Six Sigma or CAD, we consider it a merit. To succeed in this role, we believe you are analytical, solution-oriented, and driven by the desire to develop both processes and work methods. You thrive in an operations-focused role with many contact points and have a good ability to create engagement and collaboration between different functions. You are unpretentious, communicative, and motivated by turning ideas into concrete results. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
