Your Role
Do you want to work in a high-tech manufacturing environment where quality, precision, and continuous improvements are in focus?
As part of our production-support function, you will be an important link between production, quality, and engineering. You work closely with operations to ensure that manufacturing maintains high quality, operates efficiently, and delivers according to established requirements.
Our operations encompass advanced machining in machinery and equipment of world-class standards. In this role, you will contribute both to solving daily production challenges and to driving long-term improvements that strengthen our operational competitiveness.
Examples of Work Tasks
- Handle and follow up on production deviations, both preventive and corrective.
- Conduct root cause analyses and develop sustainable solutions to prevent recurring problems.
- Drive and participate in improvement work focused on quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Take responsibility for or support work with FAI (First Article Inspection), including documentation and follow-up.
- Support production on matters related to requirements specification, regulations, and manufacturing processes.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is analytical, structured, and comfortable solving problems in a production-oriented environment. You are curious, proactive, and have the ability to independently seek information to move tasks forward. At the same time, you are a team player who appreciates collaboration and builds good relationships with people at different levels in the organization.
For success in this role, we believe you:
- Have a post-secondary education in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience from manufacturing or workshop industries.
- Have experience with milling, turning, and/or other machining operations.
- Have experience with troubleshooting, deviation management, or root cause investigations in a production environment.
- Have a strong drive to develop both yourself and the business.
Meritorious Qualifications
- Experience with 3D CAD.
- Knowledge of production development, process optimization, and balancing.
- Experience with setup time rationalization and Lean-inspired improvement work.
This position requires that you complete and pass security clearance according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, certain citizenship may be required.
