At our department, community development projects are underway geographically throughout the municipality and at different scales. Work Duties As one of four production managers, you are the client for daily operations and ongoing maintenance of the municipality's road network. The work involves daily contact with citizens, contractors, journalists and other stakeholders. Street operations and maintenance consists of winter road maintenance, gravel and asphalt surfacing, traffic line marking, stormwater management, roundabouts, refuges, green road area surfaces and bare ground cleaning. Key work duties included in the position are: Inventory, planning and monitoring of production Participation in investment and development projects within your district Financial responsibility where you participate in budget preparation and forecasting On-call duty during the winter season is part of the position. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You have a post-secondary technical education or equivalent work experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have good computer skills and experience in work management within road and construction work. It is an advantage if you have experience with snow clearing, bridge management and bridge inspections, as well as knowledge of construction law and training in work on roads. A Class B driving license is required. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are organized, have good teamwork skills and can plan, lead and follow up work efficiently. The role involves many points of contact, which places high demands on you being communicative and expressing yourself well in both speech and writing.
