About SHN Cargo
SHN Cargo, headquartered in Nässjö, is a Swedish railway company that provides traction services for freight trains on the Swedish market, particularly intermodal transport to and from the Port of Gothenburg.
SHN Cargo generates approximately 200 million SEK in revenue and employs 60 people, of which 43 are locomotive drivers and 17 are office staff. Office personnel are based at the headquarters in Nässjö, while drivers are stationed throughout the country.

Your Focus in This Role
You will be part of a team consisting of three production managers, five traffic coordinators, and a production manager. As a Production Manager, you will be the direct supervisor of a group of locomotive drivers and, together with the other production managers, you will rotate responsibility for day-to-day operations. Your tasks include creating work schedules for our locomotive drivers, working with systematic occupational health and safety management, and planning the cost-effective utilization of locomotives and wagons.
You will work during daytime hours, but may occasionally be available at other times to support the traffic coordinator during major production disruptions.
What We're Looking For
We don't know who you are yet, but we have a clear picture of what you bring from your previous experience:
Experience as a manager or leader,
Experience with systematic occupational health and safety management,
Experience in railway operations, industrial logistics (production function/management function), or equivalent,
Experience working with management systems (ISO, safety management, etc.),
Strong computer skills in MS Office,
Swedish and English fluency in speech and writing.
